DICK GALLAGHER (musical director, co-author) is a composer, arranger and pianist who has worked with many of the leading stars in the cabaret and Broadway world including Patti Lupone, Karen Akers and Karen Mason. He wrote the music for the Off-Broadway hit When Pigs Fly which played in New York for two years and won an Obie award, several Drama Desk awards and a Lucille Lortel award. It has been produced in London, Boston, Los Angeles (six Ovation nominations and an LA Drama Critics nomination). A song from song, "Laughing Matters," can be heard on Bette Midler's Bathhouse Betty album as well as on the original cast recording on RCA. Dick also wrote music for Whoop-Dee-Doo! (two Drama Desk awards) and Whatnot! (Richard Rodgers award). He has won eight MAC Awards as Best Musical Director. He is a graduate of Northwestern.
